Slip ‘n’ Slide

I was so excited to vist the waterfall, I decided to take a quicker route.
One small step for adventure, one giant tumble for Hunter.
Just one day into our Costa Rican adventure, I took a mean tumble down the stairs at the La Fortuna Waterfall and it totally left a mark. It was like real life version of Shutes and Ladders. I was able to recover quickly, but not without an audience watching and asking me if I was okay. As Ally said, “I’m glad you were in front of the group, because you would have taken us all down with you.” Friends ask you if you are okay, true friends show concern then mention how thankful that you were in front- haha.
Words for the wise: If you visit Costa Rica during the rainy season, be sure to wear shoes that have good traction (sorry, Nike.) That was the first “bust down” of the trip. Now, I’m a firm believer in Vans UltraRange sneakers. They have the best soles and are great for light hikes and slippery surfaces.
